In Missouri 2016

So around Columbus Day I went to Missouri for a wedding. It was a fun, long trip. We saw the Arch, watched movies and listened to  awesome music. We stayed in the Comfort Inn Hotel in Festus. It had awesome breakfast and awesome room service. I remember watching a Bill Nye about spiders right before the wedding. The hotel had such a cold refrigerator it froze my Sunny D! Those things are hard to freeze! It also had an awesome fitness center. That I only used once. What a terrible tragedy that was. I had a awful white board in the car that kept falling apart (No offense Nana) The wedding reception was sort of fun. It had Coke. (There should be a Bill Nye about coke). 

Happy 4th of July!

To truly have a good 4th of July why not learn the history!  This takes us back to 1776 to learn the real truth, the fireworks are supposed to be on the 2nd, the real signing of The Declaration of  Independence. But we claimed our Independence from England on the 4th so Win Win! In 1817 John Adams complained in a letter that America seemed uninterested in its past, that was all about to change. Unfortunately Adams died 9 years later on the 4th of July with Thomas Jefferson dead the same morning in 1826.  John Adams was mad because the holiday was on the 4th and the signing was on the 2nd. In the 1920's fireworks were ridiculously unsafe.  This year we celebrate America's 240th birthday!







Other famous things that happened on July 4th include:

* In 1831 James Monroe died.
* In 1870 Congress made it a National Holiday.
*Calvin Coolidge was born in 1872, our 30th president.
*Tokyo Rose was born in 1916 in California.
*The US flag flows with 50 stars in 1960 (thanks Hawaii)
* Lou Gehrig gives his farewell speech in 1939 at Yankees                                                          Stadium.

Hi! I know what you are thinking; An 8-year old will have a somewhat good blog about politics - (and if you where thinking something else - TOO BAD) Question: Why is Hillary getting such bad ratings. Answer: ''The DONALD'' Trumped her. I give that a- :). Yes, that's right I just :) my own blog. High-Five for me! Oh and I'd like to forgive all you Republicans for the ''My dad is a late elephant'' I meant to say donkey. I have terrible news for any republican who likes Annie, Annie is a .................    DEMOCRAT!!!!!! Yes, you just have to watch the movie to find out. Question: Was Teddy Roosevelt a Republican? If you are a Democrat you probably said " No" and if  Republican you said ''Of Course". If you were a Republican you were.... of course right! Tomorrow is Memorial Monday so keep those soldiers' memories alive!

Florida Adventure 2016

So there I was dreaming about it. In one day I would be at Florida, then I hear a "it's time to wake up!" and I realized it was not just a dream. I cannot wait to see the snoring machine (Just Grandma).  So half way into our flight to (you know) THE HOUSE OF THE MOUSE they ask us if we want peanuts. I'm like (as always)  Uh... Yeah I do . She tosses them at me. What horrible service. Anyways we get to Florida and Grandma and Grandpa pick us up eventually. It was raining cats and dogs. So on Wednesday I danced with Sandy and did the Cotton-Eyed Joe with a bunch of other people. Then Bingo, who could not remember that fateful night. I would have won 30$ if my dad did not switch cards with me in the middle of the round. But nooo my dad had to switch cards with me and he won. Thursday we hit Siesta Key and a seagull almost pooped on us . At the end of the day my tooth fell out. Friday was April Fools , I had pizza despite my tooth and won shuffle board with the best partner ever Jerr Bear. (Jerry, yes the big fisherman).On Saturday Jerr Bear and Sandgirl (Sandy) took us on an awesome boat ride and we saw alligators! On Sunday we left Camp Florida Resort with out being heard. Grandma did some thing shocking that we will talk about forever. (I can't mention it here ). We got to Disney and I was elated. We were right by a pool but a bigger pool was farther up and better. So I was never bored. So we go to Disney Springs. The next day we go to EPCOT and there are these countries. You would think Canada would be better than it is. The American Adventure is cool but why where Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain the hosts of The American Adventure? They did not even come from the same era. Mexico was so fun that there was even a boat ride. Morocco had a bunch of Fezzes. Later on we ran to the gift shops. After we went to the gift shops we saw a bug . My dad saw a very similar bug.  I love Florida. Except for the bugs. Thanks Bugs!
